1/5 The Gila County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting on New Year’s Day in the 5700-block of Mckinney Avenue in Globe. The 911 caller reported his friend had been shot by an unknown person shortly after 1-am in the morning. Deputies arrived to find a juvenile victim not breathing. They started life-saving measures on the victim after which the victim was flown to a Phoenix area hospital. The suspect in the case, fled in a white Ram vehicle and has not been caught. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.
