9/25 Recently, several 911 callers reported a wrong-way driver going westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-40, near Winslow. DPS stopped the driver who stated he was driving the wrong-way on purpose as part of a game called “Lunatic”. In the game, drivers intentionally drive in the wrong direction. He claimed there were 2-other participating and since he was the oldest, he was the supervisor. He was arrested for endangerment and reckless driving. No other drivers were found and his name was not released.
