3/21 DPS remembers fallen Trooper, 27-year-old Brett C. Buckmister today. Buckmister died on this date in 2000 from injuries suffered in a traffic collision outside of Page. He was southbound on Highway-89 when his patrol car collided with a van. Three people in the van were also killed in the crash, which occurred during rainy and snowy conditions.
