10/12 YCSO says last month they responded to 3-times more vicious animal calls than September of last year. In addition, officials say so far this year, dog at large citations have almost reached the number of citations issued for all of last year. YCSO say Animal Control has been responding to calls about dogs harming people, livestock and other dogs. In one case, a Black Canyon City man was charged 42-times over 9-different incidents this summer in which his dogs repeatedly got loose and attacked his neighbor’s chickens, killing them. In each case he received a criminal ticket. YCSO Animal Control asks residents to keep their pets secured.
