5/12 As of last night, forward progress had been stopped on the Coyote Fire, northeast of Springerville, in Apache County. The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says the wind-driven fire started at around 3-pm Sunday and quickly burned. As of last night, the fire had burned 1,000-acres.
