The City of Cottonwood would like to advise the community that a small section of Main Street and S. 10th Street will be close to traffic for roundabout construction. Starting Tuesday, February 18, a small section of Main Street, between 10th Street and the driveway entrance of Camelot RV Resort, and South 10th Street will close to through traffic in order to expedite the construction of the new roundabout. This closure will remain in place until March 18, and will allow crews to safely install the majority of the roundabouts concrete and pavement.
Access to North 10th Street from Main Street will be provided via westbound traffic only. Access will remain open for local businesses and residents in the area, including Dead Horse Ranch State Park and Blazin’ M Ranch. To access Old Town Cottonwood, please use Mingus Avenue and Willard Street.
During construction, Cottonwood Area Transit will close bus stops located at 3rd St./Main St., 5th St./Main St., 8th St./Main St., and 12th St./Main St. A temporary stop will be placed on 12th Street north of Graham Street. If riders have questions regarding these temporary route changes, please contact the transit office at (928) 634-2287.
We ask that you please follow the marked detour signage to get to your destination and drive safely within the construction zone at all times. For questions and additional information, call the Project Hotline at (928) 405-0111.
