9/2 Cottonwood Police say they arrested 2-people who were linked to a series of forgery incidents at local businesses and officials think there may be additional victims. This past Sunday, officers stopped Carlos Cazelly and Morgan Gargiulo near the intersection of Highway-260 and East Fir Street. During the stop, both men gave false names in an effort to conceal their identities. It was soon learned the men had been making purchases in the city with forged currency. In the vehicle, officers found counterfeit money that matched bogus bills used in several purchases. Further investigation revealed the vehicle the men were in, had been reported stolen out of California. Both men were arrested on felony warrants and additionally charged for the crimes committed in Cottonwood.
