Cordes Lakes Woman Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Roommate 30 Times

5/5 The Yavapai County Attorney’s Office says a woman charged with stabbing a man 30-times and killing him, has pleaded guilty to premeditated 1-st degree murder, aggravated domestic violence, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and 3-counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. YCSO says they arrested 60-year-old Bridget Nelson, of Cordes Lakes in February 2024, after conducting a welfare check on the victim, 93-year-old Carl Miller; Nelson was his roommate. During the welfare check, Nelson tried to tell deputies that Miller had left the area on a trip, but his broken-down vehicle was still in the yard. Deputies then soon noticed Miller lying dead on the floor of the house and arrested Nelson. Officials say the victim had been dead for at least a day at the time he was found. Nelson is scheduled to be sentenced in June and faces life in prison, plus 55-years.
