7/15 Coconino County applied for an Economic Injury Disaster Loan to the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs or DEMA, due to the Pocket Fire and the financial damages caused to local businesses. The program offers 30-year loans with an interest rate capped at 4% to affected businesses. The county asked a group of businesses to fill out a worksheet so the county would have a better idea of the damage done. The sampling showed that the businesses lost upwards of $743-thousand between June 19-th and July 7-th. The information was submitted to DEMA for consideration. It will then be forwarded to Governor Katie Hobbs for endorsement. For more information on the EIDL program visit lending.sba.gov.
