Coconino and Prescott National Forest Prescribed Burns this Week

5/19 A reminder that Coconino and Prescott National Forest fire managers hope to conduct prescribed burns this week, weather permitting. Tomorrow and Wednesday, crews hope to burn 1,700-acres, 13-miles southwest of Flagstaff. They also hope to treat 4,800-acres, 24-miles southwest of Flagstaff, Wednesday through Friday. Prescott National Forest fire managers plan to conduct the Goldwater burn south of Prescott. The burn is scheduled to start tomorrow and continue through the week. Smoke may impact Prescott, Prescott Valley, Wilhoit and Chino Valley.
