5/12 After jumping a fire line Friday, crews managed to get the Bryce Fire, south of Eden, 25% contained at just under 3,000-acres. The Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management says high winds along with hot and dry conditions are helping to fuel and spread the fire. In addition, a Red Flag Warning is in place for today, so crews are paying particular attention to the northeast edge of the fire, where it’s most active. Residents placed on “SET” status remain on “SET” and Highway-70 remains open.
