7/15 Coconino National Forest officials say a Burned Area Emergency Response team is currently assessing damages done by the Pocket Fire, north of Sedona, in Oak Creek Canyon. The team will determine the level of risk from potential flooding and debris flow to values on the forest. A “Soil Burn Severity” map will be developed, which will show which areas burned the hottest. Crews will then move in to attempt to make repairs. The Pocket Fire remains 83% contained at 27,393-acres. For more information, please visit Pocket BAER Information on InciWeb
