9/22 ADOT says starting January 1-st, a new Arizona law will require you to have a motorcycle license or the endorsement on your driver license in order to renew your motorcycle registration. If the registration is due after the law takes effect, and the owner is enrolled in a qualified motorcycle training program, a one-time, 30-day temporary registration may be issued. Motorcycles owned in a trust will need a trustee to be legally licensed to operate a motorcycle in Arizona in order to renew the registration. This new law does not apply to exclusively off-road motorcycles or motorcycles owned by a business.
