The National Interagency Fire Center says firefighters are currently working to contain 57-large fires across the country. The National Preparedness Level remains at 3 with more than 13-thousand personnel assigned to incidents. SO far this year, 54,407-fires have burned more than 8.4-million acres, which is 123% of the 10-year average number of fires and 149% of the 10-year average acres burned.
