8/19 Flagstaff Fire Department says the smoke impacting the city this week is from a management fire at the Camp Navajo military base, west of the city. Officials say 2-fires ignited by lighting, south of I-40, are being allowed to run their course and are being used for management purposes. The fires have treated an estimated 110-acres with 200-acres the goal. Officials say the fire is contained by the road system at the base.
