7/21 The Prescott National Forest lifted the annual peregrine falcon closures at Granite Mountain and Thumb Butte. The areas are once again open to climbing and hiking. Falcons nested at both locations this year, but it’s unclear if either pair fledged offspring. These nesting sites have been used by the falcons for the past 30-years.
