7/20 Due to the potential for flooding, Oak Creek is closed at Slide Rock State Park. Officials say the park itself is open, but visitors are not being allowed into the water. The closure will remain in place through at least August 3-rd. Coconino National Forest closed Oak Creek, between West Fork and Sedona. This includes Bootlegger, Banjo Bill, Halfway, Manzanita, Encinoso, Grasshopper Point and 100-feet on either side of the creek from these locations. Debris from the Pocket Fire has been washing through the canyon, which is cause for concern.
