7/15 Verde Search and Rescue had a couple of rescues they were deployed to recently. Rescuers responded to Capitol Butte for a hiker that had exhausted themselves on the trail. The hiker was short hauled out of the area. Tuesday, they responded to Clear Creek on a report of a man and his son who had become tired and needed help. Both were located, hydrated and walked out of the area. The monsoon hit as they were walking out of the area, which caused some difficulty. Both were rescued successfully and required no medical attention. Hikers are reminded to know their limits, dress properly to include good shoes, have plenty of water, never hike alone and pay attention to the weather.
