6/19 DPS conducted a traffic detail, between Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Wednesday. During the detail, Troopers made 35-traffic stops, issued 20-speed citations and 2-criminal speed citations, 4 cell phone violations, 2-reckless driving violations and 2-street racing violations. Officials say they caught 2-drivers racing each other. One driver was charged with street racing 2-months ago and the case is still pending while the other driver was on probation for criminal speed and reckless driving. Both were arrested and their vehicles were impounded.
