6/19 Tonto National Forest says the Sycamore Fire remains 0% contained with 3,271-acres burned. The new acreage number is due to better mapping. The lightning sparked fire is burning north of Globe and is not threatening any structures. The Central West Zone Type-3 Team took control of the fire this morning. The public can expect to see an increase in fire traffic across the area as additional resources continue arriving on scene through the weekend. With drier conditions expected this weekend, fire activity will increase as well. The fire area is closed to the public
