6/09 Chino Valley Police are investigating 2-crashes, that occurred in 2-days with one of them being fatal. June 5-th, the driver of a truck struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway at the intersection of Road-3-North and Voss Drive. The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Phoenix area hospital. Prescription drugs are believed to be a contributing factor. June 6-th, the driver of a Ram 2500, crashed into the back end of a Ford Mustang, sitting at a 4-way stop sign, at Reed Road and Center Street. The driver of the Mustang, 65-year-old Leisa Phillips of Chino Valley, was killed. The driver of the pickup, whose name was not released, was flown to FMC with serious injuries.
