5/19 Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests are now under Stage-1 Fire Restrictions. The restrictions went into place this morning. Campfires are only allowed in designated fire rings, smoking is limited to inside a building or vehicle and target shooting is prohibited. All partners in the White Mountain Fire Restrictions Coordinating Group are under the same restrictions. They include White Mountain Apache Tribe, Arizona Bureau of Land Management, Arizona State Forestry, Apache and Navajo Counties, and the Cities of Heber-Overgaard, Show Low, and Pinetop/Lakeside.
