3/27 YCSO recently seized 12-dogs from a home in Congress that were suffering from severe medical neglect. Animal Control says the dogs were found in varying states of extreme distress, suffering from lost hair, infected sores and in some cases, advanced mange. The owner claimed they wanted to get the animals help, but couldn’t afford it. The individual, who was not named, was cited for animal cruelty. Officials say 3 of the dogs were in critical condition; the other 9-dogs are recovering.
