12/30 The Verde Valley Task Force conducted DUI Patrols over the Christmas Holiday weekend. The task force was made up of 11-officers from the Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Sedona Police Departments as well as Department of Public Safety. A total of 54-drivers were contacted during the detail, resulting in 2-DUI arrests. One driver was arrested for DUI drugs; the second was charged with Extreme DUI. Officers also made 4-criminal speed arrests and issued 20-drivers speed citations. The patrols will continue through this New Year’s Holiday weekend.
