2/17 Flagstaff Fire had a busy Sunday with a variety of calls to respond to. Crews went to the foothills of Mount Elden to douse unattended and illegal campfires in a cave that had been made into a homeless encampment and then later in the day assisted with locating and stabilizing a plane that had crashed 5-miles west of Pulliam Airport. Both the pilot and passenger were uninjured. Just before 8-pm, 7-fire units responded to a fire in a laundry room at the Little America Hotel. The flames were quickly knocked down and the fire was contained to a small area.
