7/29 The National Interagency Fire Center says 309 new fire starts were reported Tuesday across the country with crews working to contain 84-large fires currently burning. This includes 9 new large incidents. Just over 26-thousand personnel are working the fires. So far this year, 43,145-fires have burned more than 4.5-million acres across the United States, exceeding the 10-year average for both the number of fires and acres burned. Oregon and Washington have the most fires with 45 uncontained.
