9/25 The National Interagency Fire Center says there are still 26-large fires being fought across the country today with 6,824-firefighters assigned to the blazes. Year-to-date, 57,087-fires have burned more than 8.5-million acres, which is 125% of the 10-year average number of fires and 145% of the average acres burned for this date.
