5/22 Fire fighters responded to 2-new wildfires in Yavapai County Thursday. The Longfellow Fire is about 20-miles north of Crown King and had burned an estimated 10-acres by last night. A line of retardant had been established around the blaze. Crews also responded to the Spar Fire, 2-miles southwest of Yarnell. Officials say the fire was caused by someone who decided to try and grill with charcoal alongside the roadway. The fire spread and burned 3.5-acres before it was stopped. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place. Campfires and charcoal fires are only allowed in designated fire rings in campgrounds and day use areas.
