3/3 Mohave County Sheriff’s Office used DNA to positively identify human remains found in the desert in Golden Valley on October 22-nd, 2000. The remains are those of Dennis Craig Edmondson, who was reported as missing on February 18-th, 1998. At the time his body was found, dental records were being used to make the identification, but the results were negative. A lab conducting DNA testing on the remains indicated the samples were too degraded at which time investigators requested the samples be manually reviewed. That review resulted in a match. Now investigators are trying to determine his cause of death. They believe Edmondson may have met with foul play. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
