10/09 A recent traffic stop on Highway-87 in Payson resulted in the seizure of cocaine. The Gila County Sheriff’s Office says contact was made with Danny Hernandez Mendez of Phoenix and Elise Akins of Cave Creek. K-9 Whiskey alerted to the vehicle at which time 36-grams of cocaine and a large sum of money were discovered. Both were jailed on felony drug charges.
