National Ham Radio Field Day @ Pioneer Park
Jun 22 @ 11:00 am

National Ham Radio Field Day, June 22-23, 2019

Field Day is an amateur radio event that has been going on since 1933. It’s a picnic, a party, and practice for emergency communications. Ham radio has a long standing record of helping our neighbors during emergency/disaster situations. And, Field Day is an exercise in emergency deployment.

Come by the Yavapai County Jeep Posse building, and see what it’s all about. Yavapai Amateur Radio Club will be set up and operating. See radio operators in action. Ask questions of our ambassadors. Take home information about ham radio. Maybe even talk to someone in another state or country under the supervision of a licensed control operator.

The Jeep Posse building is located in Pioneer Park at 1200 Commerce Drive, Prescott (behind the outdoor hockey rink). The Field Day operation begins at 11:00 AM and visitors are welcome until about 3:00 PM. For more information about field day or ham radio, e-mail us at: [email protected]
