6 W. Aspen Ave
The Flagstaff Community Market and the Flagstaff Downtown Business Alliance (FDBA) have partnered to create a new weekly Community Market, set to take place every Wednesday in Downtown Flagstaff (6 W. Aspen Ave) from 4pm-8pm starting June 16th through September 8th, 2021.
The mission for the Wednesday Community Market is to support small independent growers, specialty food producers, local artists and small businesses. The FDBA and the Flagstaff Community Market seek to provide a vibrant community gathering space for residents and visitors of Flagstaff to mix in a relaxed, educational, and fun environment.
“The new Downtown Community Market will provide a vibrant and safe gathering space in the heart of historic downtown Flagstaff. The Market will showcase the creativity of our region as well as the wonderful downtown bricks and mortar stores that make Flagstaff so unique. “ said Art and Heather Babbott of the Flagstaff Community Markets
This street closure market will have canopies along Aspen Avenue, dispersed booths in Heritage Square, and additional tables to explore in alleyways. The Flagstaff community can expect to see between 20-30 vendors. Various downtown businesses will participate including Old Barrel Tea Company, Olive the Best, Firecreek Coffee, and Old Town Creperie to name a few.
Terry Madeksza, Executive Director for the FDBA says, “I’m thrilled to help bring the Flagstaff Community Market to the heart of downtown. This event will bring vibrancy and enthusiasm from the businesses, especially as we are emerging from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
