Like many other Events during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Warm for Winter looks different this year. But, that could be a good thing. Instead of two days in October as was done last year, the Prescott Church of the Nazarene, 2110 Willow Creek Road, will hold Warm for Winter each Tuesday afternoon, from Noon to 3:00 pm, by appointment only, from Tuesday, October 20 through Tuesday, January 26, 2021 with breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year’s Holidays.
To protect those in need and volunteers, health and safety guidelines will be implemented. Therefore, low income, homeless and needy individuals and families will be required to make an appointment at the Church (928-445-1136), wear a mask (adults and children), and bring proper identification to ensure residency in Yavapai County. Examples of identification accepted are: school identification, vaccination record, local library card, state insurance card, state identification card, passport, driver’s license, utility bill.
The need is there, even if the Event isn’t the same. Providing hats, coats/jackets, scarves, gloves and blankets for low income families, the homeless and needy in Yavapai County has been a staple in this community for some time. Prescott Church of the Nazarene and its H.O.P.E. Ministries continues this tradition. For more information, contact Pastor Dora Carter, Director, H.O.P.E. Ministries at 928-445-1136.
