Join Alzheimer’s Association representative Bonnie Shimko at the Cottonwood Public Library for an informative program on Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, it’s time to learn the facts. On Friday, January 4 at 8:45 a.m. Shimko will be at the library for a free informational presentation called “Effective Communication Strategies.” Explore how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s. Learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. The library is located at 100 S 6th St in Cottonwood. For more information on library services please visitwww.ctwpl.info or find them on Facebook.
