9/3 A very close call for a DPS Trooper this weekend when his patrol vehicle was hit by another driver. Officials say the Trooper stopped a vehicle on Highway-93, near Dolan Springs. As he walked away from his patrol vehicle to talk to the driver, a passing vehicle failed to move over and rearended the patrol car. The driver was uninjured, but was obviously impaired. The investigation determined the driver had taken several prescription medications before getting behind the wheel and was arrested for DUI.
