11/19 DPS is reminding the public about the importance of the “Move Over Law” as part of “Crash Responder Safety Week”. If you see vehicles with flashing lights stopped ahead, the law requires you to move over one lane if safely possible. If you can’t safely change lanes, you’re required to slow down and proceed with caution. The law applies to any vehicle with flashing lights, whether it’s an emergency vehicle, a tow truck, a road worker, or a disabled motorist.
