Big Reward Offered in Illegal Killing of Mexican Wolf near Flagstaff

11/18 A female, Mexican wolf was found dead northwest of Flagstaff, on November 7-th, and Game and Fish is looking for information on who killed it. The federally protected animal was found dead in the vicinity of Forest Road-2058 and East Spring Valley Road. A reward of up to $103,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Details about how the wolf died are not being released. This particular wolf was captured last summer and affixed with a GPS collar; she was then released back into the wild in July.
