10/09 Coconino National Forest officials say the hot and dry weather has put all areas of the forest back into Very High fire danger. This designation means fires will start easily from most causes and spread quickly, leading to much larger and longer lasting fires. The public is asked to do all they can to avoid causing a spark. Prescott National Forest and the Tonto National Forest are also under the Very High fire danger designation. The Kaibab National Forest fire danger remains Moderate.
