10/08 YCSO responded to an abandoned campsite call back in August in the Castle Hot Springs area. During a search of the camp the deputy found journals and a GoPro camera. Based on all the equipment being left at the camp, the deputy suspected the man could be a missing person. Further information from the journals and camera led the deputy to call authorities in the Phoenix area to see if the subject was alive. The man was located in Avondale. He told the deputy he got cold and wet one night and decided to return home and never went back for his belongings.
