Sedona Secret Mountain Wilderness – Miller Fire

Lightning is the suspected cause of a fire on steep terrain in the Secret Mountain Wilderness that grew slowly from a half-acre on May 20 to 30 acres by May 29. According to Coconino National Forest, “the Miller Fire is moving at a low rate of spread through brush, timber and rocky terrain southwest toward the south side of Secret Canyon and Maroon Mountain.” The Sedona-area Miller Fire is 31% contained at 30 acres and is experiencing minimal activity. There are no structures threatened by the Miller Fire.
