The Chino Valley Governing Board on Monday night voted to offer a 60-day parent and
community review of a state-approved sexual health curriculum for middle school and high
school students. A formal approval of the two programs to be taught by Yavapai County
Community Health Services health educators Making A Difference and Making Healthy
Choices will be made by the board during a meeting in August. The board will consider
community feedback, and offer chances for public commentary, at that meeting. If these
programs are approved, the health educators would teach eight lessons each, or eight class
periods.
