Monday morning, Copper Canyon Fire and YCSO responded to the area of Orlandi Trail near Rimrock for a reported RV fire. Once on scene, crews found a 5-th wheel fully involved in fire. Crews quickly doused the fire and kept it from spreading into nearby brush. The occupant was awakened by a smoke detector and after a few attempts to extinguish the fire with several fire extinguishers, they escaped unharmed. No other injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Everyone is reminded to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
