(Election Results)–8/4/21

Tuesday’s Election is over and here’s a look at the unofficial results from the Prescott mayoral and council races and Dewey-Humboldt’s Recall Election. The recall effort of three council members in Dewey-Humboldt failed. Lynn Collins, Amy Lance and Karen Brooks were successful in defending their seats from Chris Dragan, Terre Schroder and Jennifer Combs. Prescott has a new Mayor; Phil Goode defeated Greg Mangarelli. Goode picked up 11,705-votes to Mengarelli’s 7,116. Two Prescott council seats were decided outright Tuesday. Eric Moore and Brandon Montoya received enough votes to win outright. A runoff will take place during the General Election between Jessica Hall and Grant Quezada. Prescott voters also extended Home Rule.

  1. CONGRATULATIONS to our new Mayor Phil Goode and his City Council staff, Eric Moore and Brandon Montoya! Now we’ll see some preservation in our slepy little town of Prescott that’s been over growing by leaps and bounds!!!

  2. Hopefully now we’ll see some sanity to the direction of policies in regards to water preservation and growth.

  3. I hope and pray the massive building will come to an end and a sane, intelligent water policy put into effect along with some resolution for the lack of roads and unsustainable traffic. I have been rear-ended in my car twice in the last two year’s due to tailgating and too much traffic. Our local resources have been abused and overused. Willow Creek has turned into a freeway. Congratulations to Mr. Goode, Mr. Montoya, and Mr. Moore. Now we need to build on these improvements to our City Council.

  4. Congratulations to Phil Goode and his City Council staff, Eric Moore and Brandon Montoya. Sometimes too much growth is not good. The traffic congestion nearly everywhere and caution about our water needs in the future decided this election. Thank you to these good people who decided to put their hats in the ring to make Prescott a better place to live.
