Sedona Fire responds to two hikers in distress over the weekend

Saturday afternoon, Sedona Fire responded to an 11-year old hiker who suffered a fall and loss consciousness at Boynton Vista trailhead. Fire Marshal Jon Davis says crews located the young hiker with a facial injury. Crews carried the patient out of the area to the landing zone and then transported to FMC for further treatment and evaluation. Davis says an hour later, crews responded to Airport trailhead for a hiker suffering heat exhaustion. Crews located the hiker and transported them back to the trailhead via stokes basket. They were then transported to a local area hospital.
