Saturday morning, Sedona Fire responded to an injured hiker at the Cathedral Rock trailhead. Fire Marshal Jon Davis says upon arrival and reaching the patient, crews determined a walkout would not be possible due to the inaccessibility of the area they were in. DPS helicopter was then called in for short haul operations. Davis says once crews reached the trailhead, the hiker was transported to a local area hospital for further treatment.
