Governor issues update on vaccine distribution in the state

To date, Arizona has administered 1,509,837 COVID-19 vaccine doses. This couldn’t have happened without the hardworking medical professionals and volunteers, and our continued work to distribute the vaccine safely and quickly.

Associated Press: Arizona To Open 4th State-Run COVID-19 Vaccination Site

“Arizona pressed on Monday with plans to increase vaccinations and vaccine access, including the opening of its fourth state-run mass vaccination clinic. The state Department of Health Services announced it will transition a Maricopa County vaccination clinic at Chandler-Gilbert Community College into a state site.” (LINK)


Arizona Republic: Medicaid In Arizona Will Pay For Members’ Rides To And From COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

“Arizona on Monday removed what had been a significant obstacle to getting the COVID-19 vaccine to people enrolled in Medicaid. Arizona’s Medicaid program, which enrolls about 30% of the state’s population, said Monday morning that it will cover members’ transportation costs to and from COVID-19 vaccine appointments.” (LINK)
