Two caught with over 400 fentanyl pills

Monday night, a YCSO deputy stopped a vehicle for moving violations and wound up seizing a large quantity of fentanyl pills. Spokesman Dwight D’Evelyn says contact was made with 20-year old Olivia Jordan of Prescott and 32-year old Richard Carlson of Dewey-Humboldt. He says the pair were acting suspicious so a K9 was deployed on the vehicle. During a search for the source of the odor detected by the K9, deputies located 19-Xanax pills containing fentanyl, blue M-30 pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine. Both suspects were arrested. D’Evelyn says a deputy noticed Jordan walking oddly and asked her if she was hiding something in her pants. She eventually removed a bag containing 445-fentanyl pills. He says the pills were tested and returned presumptive for fentanyl with a street value of $10,000. Yavapai Silent Witness is currently offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to drug dealers in the county.
