Due to ongoing concerns about rapidly increasing COVID-19 numbers, the City of Prescott, the Prescott Chamber of Commerce, Prescott Downtown Partnership and Acker Night Committee jointly decided to cancel their events, including the Holiday Light Parade and Bonfire Festival, Christmas Parade and Acker Night. The Courthouse Lighting will be held “virtually”, with online video of the traditional ceremony. The Whiskey Row Boot Drop for New Year’s Eve will delay their decision until December 21-st. For information about the virtual Courthouse Lighting visit www.Prescott.org
How is the city preparing to reduce the number of people coming to the town square for the Courthouse Lighting…especially those who may not be aware of the live-event cancellation driving from other counties? Will the roads to the downtown area be closed off?
