Thursday afternoon, Central Arizona Fire responded to a garage fire in the 3700-block of North Mountain View Drive in Prescott Valley. Fire Marshal Rick Chase says crews arrived on scene and found a detached metal garage fully involved in fire. Crews were on scene battling the fire for several hours. Chase says due to the collapse of the building and the contents inside, a backhoe was brought in to assist in extinguishing hot spots. The structure is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
