Jerome Fire responds to motor vehicle accident

Saturday night, Jerome Fire responded to a vehicle accident at the Haunted Hamburger restaurant. Crews arrived on scene and found a vehicle without a driver had rolled across the street striking a pedestrian, the building, railing, and a natural gas meter. Chief Rusty Blair says the pedestrian sustained injuries and was transported to VVMC for treatment. He says there was significant damage to the railing and minor damage to the structure. The owner of the vehicle said he was in the market up the street when his vehicle popped out of gear and rolled across the street. The vehicle did not sustain any damage.
